Welcome to My New Romance Author Blog
Hello! I’m Tammy, a contemporary romance author and lifelong romance book lover. I’ve been addicted to romance novels since middle school, and nine years ago I published my very first self-published romance book. Since then, I’ve written seven books (six are currently available), and I’m excited to start this new chapter, a blog where we can talk all things romance.
I want this space to be more than just about my books. I want to build a community of readers who love discussing romance novels, tropes, plots, and characters, as much as I do.
What You’ll Find Here
While I’ve read across romance subgenres—paranormal romance, romantasy, and even steamy erotica—my heart belongs to contemporary romance. My absolute favorite tropes? Enemies-to-lovers (especially in an office romance setting) and sports romance. That’s the sweet spot where I keep coming back for more, so this blog will focus mostly on contemporary romance books, though I won’t rule out highlighting other must-be-talked about tropes I’ve enjoyed.
Why I’m Blogging
To be honest, I want more readers to discover my romance novels—but I’m not a fan of traditional marketing or spending hours tweaking ads. I’d rather do what I love: read romance, write romance, and talk about romance. Since I also work full-time in a library, my free time is cherished, and I want to do things I enjoy. (I know many of you feel the same.) That’s why this blog will feature short, fun, and insightful posts you can read in a few minutes and walk away with a great book recommendation or an update on my current writing project.
What You Can Expect
- Book Reviews (I’ll only feature books I’ve truly enjoyed. If I didn’t connect with a book, chances are someone else loved it, so I’d rather spotlight the romances that captivated me.)
- The romance book title, author, and a quick synopsis
- Hero and Heroine highlights
- A favorite quote and/or scene
- Updates on My Writing Journey
- What’s flowing or Not flowing
- Where I am in the writing process or publishing process
- If you’re on my newsletter list, you know I sometimes ask for input. (hint :-))
- Anything else that I can think of that pertains to contemporary romance!
