The Ultimate Romance Book Gift Guide

It’s gift-giving season, which means it’s the perfect time to share a few bookish gift ideas. If you’re shopping for a romance reader, you can never go wrong with a stack of love stories. And if those romance books just happen to be by T. Christensen… well, that’s a win-win!

There is a light blush background. There is a light pink ribbon coming from the left that forms the shape of a heart and then curls down to the bottom of the picture. Beside the ribbon is a book with the T. Christensen logo on it.

Wrapping a book is easy, but if you want to include a little more you could do a romance book gift basket. My heart squeezes just a little bit imagining someone placing a basket full of book goodies in front of me. I found so many cute book gifts for romance readers on Amazon and Etsy. I’ll just name a few:

  • Bookmarks
  • Highlighters
  • See through sticky notes to make notations in the book
  • Pens for the notes
  • Book light
  • Book Club Journal
  • Coffee mug and or Wine glass

How Do I Pick the Best Romance Book to Gift a Friend?

With so many titles and sub-genres to choose from, picking the right book can feel a little intimidating. But it doesn’t have to be hard.

Start with what you already know:

  • Has your fellow book lover mentioned a title they’re excited to read?
  • Do they have a TBR list? Can you take a peek at it?
  • Is there a romance you’ve devoured (or reread multiple times) that you think they’d love too?

If you’re still unsure, check out the lists on She Reads Romance, that are organized by sub-genres (bodyguard romance, rom-com, sports romance, and MANY more). You’re guaranteed to find something for your friend(s) and for yourself!

Books are the gifts that keep on giving!

In addition to the book you can create an experience:

  • Give everyone in your friend group the same romance book.
    • Even better if it’s a series. It’s a built-in excuse to read the next book together!
  • Turn the gift into a mini book club.
    • Add a bookmark with a few book club discussion questions and propose three potential meet-up dates to get the fun started. (All of my books include book club questions—just saying! Look in the Extra Section for each book.)
  • Pair the book with a movie night.
    • If the story has a film adaptation, you’ve just planned another get-together!

Why Romance Novels Make the Perfect Present

Books make amazing gifts, and they don’t have to break the bank. Whether you choose a gorgeous paperback to wrap up or a digital read delivered instantly, romance novels are thoughtful, personal, and unforgettable.

And if you’re doing a little last-minute gifting? You can’t go wrong with a bookstore gift card. Bonus tip: you can purchase an eBook as a gift directly through Amazon for someone’s Kindle—it arrives fast and still feels customized to their reading taste.
